I’m sure it’s not just me, but I find going on A First Date super intimidating. I mean, some guys are just so vapid. You’re there counting down the clock to the most reasonable time you can excuse yourself for the remainder of the evening.
And this is after you’ve had to filter through all the crap out there, all those unwanted dick pics (is there ever actually a wanted one?) or cheesy opening one liners. Dating world definitely leaves you hesitant about any face to face encounters. Praying that their good looks, charm and wit will be enough to get you through the night, regardless of how it ends.
A First Date
That is until I decided to take it all in my own hands. I had read a blog on the We-Vibe page about taking a sex toy with you on your first date, in case things get hot and heavy. Although they suggested the Tango, their snazzy little bullet, I couldn’t help but disagree with this decision.
Why wait until the end of the night to start getting off?
Especially if you’re listening to some self centred gym junkie yap on about his F45 and his keto diet. That’s why I’ve started wearing my We-Vibe Moxie on first dates.
Okay sure, the Moxie isn’t quite as strong as the Tango. But it does have a remote control and We-Connect app connectivity. I keep the remote in my jacket pocket and if the conversation starts to slow or become tedious, hello vibrating clit tickler.
I’ve found that by having the Moxie rumbling away on my clit, I’m forced to start some kind of conversation. In case I completely lose myself to the sensations.
I hate to admit it, but there is also a bit of a downside to wearing a Moxie to a first date.
One guy who was cute, but pretty boring, really had me struggling to get through the date. We were only just onto our mains by the time I’d amped the toy up to full strength.
It was so damn good, I thought for a moment I might slide off my chair! But I wanted more that night, and we left before we finished our mains so he could finish me off.
Regrettable? Maybe. A whole lot of fun? Definitely.
A Whole Lot of Fun
Recently though, when I was on a first date with Ben, things took a very unexpected turn.
First of all, he was actually very nice and sweet. Quite a lovely change from most of my other dates. He was also ridiculously hot, yet somehow completely unconceited about it. Our night was going smoothly, very smoothly. I had barely even thought about my We-Vibe the whole time. Was far too preoccupied with his electric blue eyes.
It was after we had shared a charcuterie board that he went to show me a photo on his phone. But as he scrolled through the app screens.
I saw that all too familiar logo for the We-Connect.
I only hesitated for a microsecond before plunging straight in and asked him about it. His face flushed (so cute!) and he stumbled over the words, which he never actually found. Instead, he just reached into his jeans pocket and pulled out that unmistakable little white remote control.
I thought he was going to melt away in shame. So I did the only sensible thing and pulled out my own remote and slid it across the table.
Ben just laughed, and handed me his remote before picking up mine. We were going to be in touch with We-Vibe.
Then it was kind of like a standoff.
We both wanted to get the other buzzing, and to be buzzed. But neither wanted to make the first move. This shared nervousness also managed to halt our previously engaging conversations, our minds clearly elsewhere.
Notably, between the others legs. Or for me at least, trying to work out just which We-Vibe toy he had. I figured the Pivot cock ring might be a little bulky.
And in my mind decided he was wearing the Verge, a more streamlined ring that vibrates on his perenium.

Finally I decided to end this silence between us, and hit the button to step it up in power. Ben grinned and gently leaned forward, his elbows resting on the table. I was pretty surprised as I’d seen the Verge instead and sure it was rumbly. But I didn’t expect it to give quite that response.
As I tried to imagine his toy, I felt my Moxie buzz to life, the unexpectedness of it made it that much hotter. Almost as much as Ben, I found myself lurching forward from the surprise. And had to bite my tongue to not let out an audible gasp.
